FLT LT CHRIS WHATLING

I am 40 years old and have been involved with 649 Squadron on and off for the last 24 years, joining the the Squadron as a probationer back in 1986!
I left the Squadron aged 20, and have served in both the Territiorial Army and Regular Army before having to leave through injury, but kept in regular contact with the unit and the former CO during this time.
In 1997 I rejoined the Squadron as a Civilian Instructor and became the Squadron Warrant Officer in 1998.
In 2003 I took Command of 649 Squadron when the former CO passed away unexpectedly and I was left to run the unit myself.
I gained my commission in the RAF VR(T) in February 2004 and have been the Commanding Officer ever since.
I am employed as a Civil Servant working in munitions but in the small amount of spare time I do get, I like to spend it with my Fiancee and my Eight year old son.

FG OFF LAURENCE DUNCAN

I am 42 years young and have been involved with the Air Training Corps since I joined as a cadet at 13 years old. I became a member of staff in 1989 as a Warrant Officer and was promoted to a Commissioned rank 9 years ago. I have served on different Squadrons within Bristol and Gloucestershire Wing and was recently given the opportunity to take up a position with Dursley Squadron.
Outside the Cadet organisation, I am a Quality Manager for a manufacturing company in Bristol and like to spend my free time reading, watching movies, DIY and gardening and playing World of Warcraft.
I married my wife Sally in 2009.

CI TONY MAY

I am 46 years old and have been married to Donna for 21 years. We have four children (Stephanie, Cameron, Alex and Aaron). Having been involved with a Tae Kwon Do demonstration for the cadets and also helping out on the five valleys walk, I decided to join 649 squadron, in 2007 as a civilian instructor. I am still hoping to work towards becoming a uniformed member of staff in 2010.
I am employed as a computer engineer working for EMC (A successful American organization) , and travel throughout the South West fixing large computer systems (Some of these weigh up to 17 tonnes!) .
I enjoy most sports, mainly Tae kwon Do (I am a first degree black belt and Assistant Instructor at Dursley TKD club). I am also a die hard supporter of Exeter City FC and travel to watch them home and away
whenever I can.

WARRANT OFFICER ATC FIONA WALSH

I am 32 years old and have been a Warrant Officer ATC for the last 9 years. When I attended the Warrant Officers course in 2001, I was the youngest Warrant officer in the Corps. On my course was a Warrant Officer called Chris Whatling; what a surprise to find that he is now the Commanding Officer of the Squadron! I am in the process of transferring from Dorset and Wilts Wing, into Bristol & Glos Wing and have chosen to serve on 649 (Dursley) Squadron with my old friend and new CO.
It is my intention to be responsible for the sports and the shooting on the unit.
